About Me & Services offered

My Background

Shine and Align is a business created by me, Jason Lane, to provide a quality detailing and painting service for your vehicle at prices that are affordable.

I am an Institute of Motoring Industries (IMI) qualified Master Detailer and a qualified SSR Technician (Sprayless Scratch Repair).

I am fully insured and covered with Indemnity Insurance.

Whether modern, classic or vintage; everyday or occasional use; my passion is to get your car to show its best.

Service and Products

Based in North Norfolk I offer a range of services from my work base. Whether it is a repair on a scratch to your paintwork; minor accident damage; full bare-metal respray; a full detail or general clean of your car, I offer a professional and thorough service.

I use only professional, quality products to protect and enhance your car's exterior paintwork and interior.

The main products I use are by Gtechniq including their Crystal Serum Light and Exo Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating. These products provide excellent results and longevity of protection.

Detailing & valeting Services offered & Price Guide

All prices are a guide only and are dependent on the size of vehicle. The time taken on any vehicle (duration) will also depend on the size and level of correction/restoration required.

Maintenance Wash

From £20-£40

Duration: 1-2 hours

A comprehensive series of pressure washes; snow foam and shampoo using pH-neutral products and non-scratch detailing brushes, mitts and microfibre drying towels. The glass is also cleaned.

Correction Detail

From £160

Duration: 1-5 days

A thorough process that decontaminates and brings your car's paintwork back to factory level of shine and protection.

The paint work is treated to 1-3 stages of polisher correction to remove swirls, light scratches and holograms. Glass and trim is cleaned and protected. Wheels are decontaminated and protectant applied. Tyres are dressed.

The entire car is also protected with a mix of quality sealants and wax.

Protection Detail

From £150

Duration: 1-2 days

This is for vehicles that have had a correction detail or where the paintwork is already in excellent condition.

As well as the basic maintenance wash and removal of contaminants, your car will receive GTechniq products to clean and detail your car's interior, glass and exterior.

For your paintwork either a Swissvax Shield wax can be requested or GTechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer/Exo Hybrid Coating.

New Car Detail

From £220

Duration: 2-3 days

If you have treated yourself to a brand new car or perhaps have a new car under a PCP arrangement - you are going to want to keep it looking good, protected from the elements and maintain its value.

A 'New Car Detail' will be able to provide you with this care and protection.

Similar to the 'Protection Detail' but with a choice of sealants and waxes including GTechniq Crystal Serum Light & Exo v4 Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating.

Other services offered

All prices are a guide only and are dependent on the size of vehicle. The time taken on any vehicle (duration) will also depend on the size and level of cleaning and protection required.

Wheel Clean and Protection (for a set of 4 wheels)

From £80

The full service includes removal of each wheel. The wheel is cleaned and decontaminated to remove brake dust, tar marks and other unwanted matter. Each wheel is polished by hand and a series of GTechniq coatings applied - similar to the vehicle paintwork - to care and protect your wheels.

Interior Detail

From £20

Using GTechniq products your vehicle interior will be treated to a full clean with mats and loose carpets removed. Cloth or leather seats will be treated appropriately to both clean and protect. Door cards, inserts, air vents, dashboard and steering wheel will be cleaned and protected.

A number of GTechniq interior products include a safe anti-bacterial solution that kills germs and prevents mould growth.

Engine Bay Detail

£40

A full and careful degrease and hand steam-clean of your engine bay. All important electrical components are protected.

Cabriolet Soft-top Clean & Sealant/Waterproofing

£85

Is available separately or as part of a full valet or detail. Includes a deep clean and decontamination of the hood. Once thoroughly dried a choice of sealants and/or protectants can be applied including GTechniq's excellent I1 Smart Fabric which will make the hood waterproof and protect it from water stains and is still breathable.

Headlight polish & restoration (prices for a pair)

From £40

Modern poly-carbonate headlights can deteriorate with age and ultra-violet sunlight. Improve you night vision and safety by restoring their finish and protecting them from further deterioration. Each light is cleaned and carefully polished to remove hazing and scratches. If severe, wet sanding may be carried out. The lights are then protected by applying appropriate GTechniq sealants and ceramics.
